On the morning of June 2, 2026, the Digital Governance Association Taiwan (DGA Taiwan) hosted an in-person session titled “AI Risk Governance Dialogue” at Lecture Hall 1401, Pioneer Building, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). The event, held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, brought together professionals from industry and academia for a substantive exchange on the governance of AI-related risks. Three prominent speakers led the dialogue: Chen Chun-Shan, Chairman of DGA Taiwan; Huang Yen-Nan, Executive Director of the Academia Sinica Cybersecurity Research Center; and Dai Wei-Jun, President of the AI Institute at the Institute for Information Industry (III).

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence has not only accelerated industrial transformation but has also introduced unprecedented challenges in cybersecurity and fraud prevention. Against this backdrop, the session focused on the fast-evolving landscape of deepfake technology and voice cloning, examining how these tools are being systematically weaponized in the industrialization of fraud. Speakers approached these issues from an organizational governance perspective, offering frameworks for how enterprises and institutions can build meaningful defenses against such threats.

Drawing on their respective areas of expertise, the three speakers offered multidimensional perspectives on AI risk governance. Chairman Chen Chun-Shan emphasized that AI governance is not merely a technical challenge but a matter of institutional design and social trust, calling for forward-looking regulatory frameworks developed through sustained collaboration between the public and private sectors. Executive Director Huang Yen-Nan addressed the ways in which AI-powered attack methods are breaking through conventional security boundaries, and outlined strategies for enhancing organizational resilience through more sophisticated threat detection capabilities. President Dai Wei-Jun shared the III AI Institute’s experience in bridging research and applied policy, articulating the institute’s role in translating governance research into actionable recommendations.

The session concluded with an open Q&A exchange, during which attendees raised practical questions spanning AI fraud detection, corporate governance accountability, and regulatory compliance. The speakers responded in depth to specific scenarios, generating a lively and substantive discussion that extended well beyond prepared remarks.

DGA Taiwan remains committed to advancing knowledge and policy dialogue around digital transformation and AI governance. This session is part of the association’s ongoing series of events for 2026. Further forums and dialogues on related topics are forthcoming, and the public is warmly encouraged to follow the association’s activities.
